Support & FAQ

We're here to help

General

How do I create a QR code?

Open QR Pad, tap the '+' button, choose your QR code type (Link, WiFi, Text, or Review), fill in the details, and tap 'Create'. Your QR code is generated instantly.

What's the difference between Free and Pro?

The Free tier includes unlimited Links, WiFi networks, and Text QR codes—forever free, no expiration. Pro unlocks Yelp Review QR codes today and will automatically include Google Review QR codes as soon as they launch. Pro is $6.99/month.

Do QR codes expire?

No. Your QR codes work permanently, whether you're on the Free tier or Pro. Once created, they never expire.

Can I edit a QR code after creating it?

No. QR codes are static images—once generated, the content is locked. This is by design for privacy (we don't track scans). To change content, create a new QR code.

Pro Subscription

What features does Pro include?

Pro includes unlimited Yelp Review QR codes right now, Google Review QR codes (coming soon), and all Free tier features. Pro is designed for service providers who want to collect customer reviews effortlessly.

How much does Pro cost?

Pro is $6.99/month, billed through the App Store. You can cancel anytime.

How do I cancel my subscription?

To cancel, open the App Store app on your iPhone, tap your profile icon, tap 'Subscriptions', find QR Pad Pro, and tap 'Cancel Subscription'. You'll retain Pro access until the end of your billing period.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple through the App Store. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and select your QR Pad Pro purchase.

Technical

What devices can scan QR codes?

Any smartphone camera can scan QR codes—iPhone, Android, any device. No special app needed. Just point the camera at the QR code.

How do I test a Yelp Review QR code?

After creating your Yelp Review QR code, tap 'Test' in the QR Pad app. This opens the Yelp review page in Safari so you can verify it works correctly. Don't worry—testing doesn't post a review.

Why isn't my QR code scanning?

If you're sharing from your iPhone, turn up screen brightness and show the QR code full-screen so cameras can lock on quickly. When you send the code digitally, share the original image (Messages, AirDrop, email) so it isn't blurred or compressed.

What QR code types are supported?

Free tier: Links (URLs), WiFi networks, and Text. Pro tier adds Yelp Review QR codes today plus Google Review QR codes (coming soon).

Privacy

Do you track who scans my QR codes?

No. QR codes are static images for privacy. We don't track who scans your codes, when they scan, or any scanning activity. This is intentional—privacy-first design.

What data do you collect?

We collect minimal analytics to improve the app (Amplitude, no cookies). We don't collect personal information beyond what's required for App Store purchases (handled by Apple). See our Privacy Policy for full details.
